How to Share Text Messages on TikTok in 2024
While videos may be the most common form of TikTok post the average person sees on social media, it’s not the only way users can share their thoughts or other random ideas. Photos have also been available for a while, but now the app is adding a third option that moves away from visual media entirely by using text messaging.
TikTok believes adding text messaging will give users “another way to express themselves” and will also make posting easier, as it will eliminate the need for video editing.
Though, like other TikTok content, text posts can be customized to include hashtags, share location tags, be used for duets, and so on. They’ll essentially be just like the videos and photos you share, only with text instead of images. And just like with photos and videos, you can compose a post whenever you want and then save it to finish later.
