Riot Games is implementing a number of new policies with the goal of getting Game Changers players into both Challengers and International VCT competitions. These changes offer organizations the opportunity to expand their reach in VALORANT.

In the future, organizations currently competing in VALORANT at the VCT International League or Challengers level may field an additional roster “within other tiers” if the second roster is comprised primarily of Game Changers players.
In a press release issued by Riot in June, the company explicitly stated that partner teams playing in the international VCT leagues may also field a Challengers league team, “provided that three-fifths of the team is eligible to play in Game Changers.” Additionally, teams in Challengers may field a second team in Premier or Challengers, provided that the majority of the second team is eligible for Game Changers.
This means that for a number of partner organizations that currently field rosters in both VCT and Game Changers, if their Game Changers roster successfully qualifies for Challengers, there would be no issue. This ties in nicely with the new “upward player mobility” changes that Riot has been implementing to give Game Changers players a fairer chance at reaching Challengers. Teams like Liquid, G2, MIBR, LOUD, GIANTX, and Karmine Corp all currently field rosters in both the international VCT competitions and Game Changers.
