Days after Twitch streamer NICKMERCS condemned the Dr Disrespect controversy, he was banned from the platform for the first time for using transphobic language.
Nickmercs BANNED on Twitch
At the time of writing, the streamer's Twitch page is temporarily unavailable to the public. Instead, a message appears that reads: "This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of the Twitch Community Guidelines or Terms of Service."
Twitch has not disclosed the reason behind the ban, but NICKMERCS confirmed in a June 28 post on X that he was banned for using a transphobic term. "Apparently that's a derogatory term. That's my fault," he wrote. "Next time I'll use 'mental health disorder.'"
