Nikki Glaser will host the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.
The awards show will air on January 5, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM ET/PT on CBS and will be streamed in the US on Paramount+.
"I'm so excited to host the Golden Globes. It's one of my favorite nights on television and now I have a front row seat (I guess I should host from the stage)," Glaser said. "The Golden Globes is not only a great night for television and film, but also for comedy. It's one of the few times that show business not only allows itself, but encourages itself to be lovingly mocked (I hope so). (God, I hope so). It's an exciting but challenging show because it's live, unpredictable, and in front of Hollywood's biggest stars (who also might be getting drunk sitting next to their recent exes)."
"Some of my all-time favorite jokes come from past Golden Globes opening monologues where Tina, Amy, or Ricky said exactly what we all didn't know we desperately needed to hear," she continued. "I just hope to continue that timeless tradition (which may also get me canceled). This is truly a dream job. Plus, I no longer have to feel guilty about every TV show and movie I binged this past year. It was all worth it. ('Below Deck: Sailing Yacht' season four will be nominated, right?)."
