According to Nintendo, the 2024 Splatoon 3 world champions, team Jackpot, have been stripped of their titles for violating tournament and community guidelines.

Nintendo announced on social media on July 23, 2024 that it would be discontinuing Jackpot's titles. A statement said that the team "acted in a manner inconsistent with [its] Community Guidelines." As a result, their win was voided.

In addition to stripping the team of their titles, an in-game banner added to Splatoon 3 celebrating their victory will be removed in a future update. It is currently unknown if the event's runners-up, Japan's Phantom Thief, will be given the title instead.
