After some brief hints and eventual confirmation, No Man's Sky finally has an official release date: October 7 for the Nintendo Switch.
No Man's Sky on Switch Just Got a MAJOR Graphical Update
A lot has been done with No Man’s Sky since its initial (and somewhat lackluster) release, with players (travelers) able to explore even more than the already functionally infinite galaxy; the game has seen everything from complete graphical overhauls to time loop shenanigans. So naturally, plenty were excited when Hello Games revealed plans to release the game on Switch, but the release date was a little vague. Well, vague is out and precise is in, as the latest trailer finally gives us an official launch date.
By coming to Switch, No Man’s Sky retains the “go anywhere” hook but adds “play anywhere” to the mix, so the endless galactic antics don’t have to stop even if you’re away from a TV or monitor. And judging by the footage in the new trailer, which shows off much of the new content from the recent Outlaws update, it’s likely to include every single expansion.
Whether the Switch version will get new expansion content at the same time as the other platforms remains to be seen, but it looks promising.
