The Nothing Phone started as a curiosity and quickly became popular because it was different from all other phones on the market. The latest version promises more of the same.
Why the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is finally perfect
Nothing first announced Phone (2a) in a YouTube Community Update video on February 1, but the “official” announcement about Phone (2a) surfaced (also on YouTube) on Tuesday. As with all things Nothing, details are scarce.
The overall tone suggests that the Phone (2a) will be more consumer-oriented (meaning less aimed at developers or ultra-techies) and will have a better camera. What this could mean is anyone’s guess, but with Nothing you can be sure it’s going to be well designed. The videos cite work on both the physical design of the device, as well as work on the NothingOS that powers the phone.
“What we’ve learned over the last year is that people have really grown to love what we stand for in terms of innovation: our hardware innovation, our hardware design, the user interface with symbols, but also our software,” Nothing CEO and co-founder Carl Pei said in the video.
