The answer to the clue "Far from over?" from the October 9 NYT Mini Crossword puzzle is "UNDER". This clue is pretty simple: if something isn't going over, it's probably going under.
When I read this clue I thought it meant something more inspiring like never give up. But when I solved the crossword I realized I was wrong when I found out the answer. It is a bit confusing and not at all what you would expect so it was difficult to solve, that is why I give it a difficulty rating of four out of five.
