You start Old Market Simulator on the central island. On this island you will find all the shops you need to get started and ways to expand your shop. Here is a map of the main island:
The first thing you need to do is complete the Stands quest, which requires you to get a Lumberjack stand. From the starting location, go right and then go around the corner to the right. The Lumberjack is in the back corner. After that, you need to place him in your shop for the Stand Placement quest. Next, go to the dock west of your shop and order some items to sell. You have the option to buy four different items:
I recommend buying two of each, that's enough to keep your shop running for a while without it taking too long to move everything the next day. Once all of your stuff is ordered, you'll need to climb the stairs on the west side of your shop to get to your bedroom, which is directly above your shop. Interact with the bed to sleep until the next day.
