There are more than 400 national parks in the United States, including historic sites, monuments, and recreation areas, most of which are free to visit. However, many of the more than 60 popular national parks, such as Grand Canyon National Park, Yosemite National Park, and Yellowstone National Park, charge an entrance fee. A visit to one of these parks will typically cost you $10-$20 per person or $35 per vehicle (and you can go back and forth seven days after purchase). Depending on the number of people in your family and the number of parks you visit, this can add up.
