Human players are taking a break from the challenging combat and survival aspects of the game and spending time exploring the extensive building mechanics, some even showing off on social media.

Once Human – Official PvP Gameplay Trailer for 'Evolution's Call'

A thread from July 10th titled “Anyone else just love this building? I almost forgot to play the game” caught some attention, featuring a screenshot of the player standing in front of his beautiful two-story riverside home, built on wooden foundations with a fence around it. This inspired players to join in and share their own builds, with one player wowing everyone with his impressive structure that straddles a riverbank with a bridge that allows them to cross the river.

They used the flight mode mechanic to work on their house because it allows them to build vertically without any issues with snapping, an issue that other players have had. They also said that they are still a lower level than the rest of the players on their server due to the amount of time they spend building. "…still lvl 16 xD compared to the rest of my hive. Too busy building! And still not finished haha," they said.

Given how tedious it can be to gather resources to build a base similar to the size shared in the thread, one player raised a concern about how the entire build could go to waste in six weeks given that Once Human has a wipe system. This concern was quickly dispelled in a response that mentioned the House blueprints game mechanic, which allows players to save their houses as blueprints and place them in wipes later.
