The One Piece Card Game ban list is one of the few external deckbuilding rules that Bandai Namco enforces on local and competitive play, with the most powerful or synergistically strongest cards ending up on the chopping block.

Bandai originally decided to keep the ever-evolving banlist fairly sparse in the early days of the One Piece deck, only really blocking out the Cabaji from set two. However, Whitebeard's iconic ship, the Moby Dick, was quickly added after the Paramount War set released, once it became clear just how meta-warping the red phase could be when combined with other Whitebeard Pirates cards.
The power of red leaders like Edward Newgate and Roronoa Zoro eventually led to the banning of other strong choices of the same color, including Radical Beam, the Newgate character card, Nami, Curly Dadan, and two different Marcos. These have since been rescinded, with Bandai deeming their power more controllable after Awakening of the New Age.
In 2024, the TCG underwent its most catastrophic changes, with the clearly best deck, Sakazuki, being stripped bare with a leader ban. The black event Great Eruption and the new yellow removal Reject were also banned outright.
