OnePlus isn’t exactly a household name in North America, but that could and should change with the release of the OnePlus 7 Pro. The Chinese company has built a dedicated fanbase by delivering flagship smartphones, albeit with slight tweaks that result in a much lower price point than top-end offerings from Samsung, Apple, or Google.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the first model to match the recent crop of ultra-premium handsets by embracing high-end components and taking the fight to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S10, Apple iPhone XS and Huawei P30 Pro. It’s also the most expensive OnePlus phone to date. Overall, it brilliantly succeeds in delivering one of the best all-round phones on the market for a price that’s hundreds of dollars less than its competitors. It’s a true marvel.

Look at the OnePlus 7 Pro. Can you see a front-facing camera anywhere? There’s no iPhone-esque notch, no Galaxy-esque punch-hole cutout, and no big chunk of bezel above the display. So where is the camera? Surprise, it’s hidden away and only accessible with a single button. Simply open the camera app, switch to the front-facing position, and it pops right out of the top of the phone.
