OpenAI has improved the ChatGPT interface with a new feature called Canvas. Canvas is designed to better assist you with your writing and coding projects. Previously, users had to specify which changes and revisions they wanted the chatbot to make. With Canvas, such tasks now have special shortcuts to help you edit and revise parts of your text and code. Here’s how it works.
NEW ChatGPT 'Canvas' Update! (Better Writing & Coding)
Canvas is a dedicated collaborative space for writers and programmers using ChatGPT. Built on the GPT-4o model, it intelligently recognizes the nature of your work and offers a range of suggestions and adjustments for you to make.
When ChatGPT is launched, a separate 'canvas' window opens with the task in focus and ChatGPT offering suggestions in the sidebar.
When working with text, you can have ChatGPT adjust the length, change the reading level from kindergarten to graduate school, put the finishing touches on your text (even add emoji), and provide general suggestions and feedback. All of these options are available from the right-click menu.
