Season 9 of Overwatch is packed with promising new content, not only awesome skins but also reworks of some characters, like Pharah. She might finally be a worthwhile Damage to play, without a bag of Mercy. Here are all the details!
Testing the NEW PHARAH REWORK | Overwatch 2
There were a lot of complaints about Pharah leading up to this point, mostly focused on her mobility and abilities. She tends to die too quickly and really isn’t worth having around without a healer at her side at all times. Thanks to the reworks, she might actually be able to stand on her own as a solid Damage character. According to noted Overwatch player Fareeha, Pharah is now “incredibly dynamic and fun to play AND play against.”
The first step to fixing one of Pharah's problems was to increase her health from 200 to 250, which should make her last a bit longer than before and hopefully make her less reliant on healers. A change to her health is just the beginning of her changes, though. Check out the rest below:
One of the most significant changes Pharah is getting is her new ability, Jet Dash. This ability essentially redefines her as a character; instead of relying solely on her height, this quick dash allows her to stay in the thick of the action. Jet Dash boosts Pharah in the horizontal direction she is moving and can be activated with a Double Jump. It has an 8 second cooldown between activations.
