The new Magic: The Gathering Bloomburrow set captured PaymoneyWubby's heart when he cracked Collector booster packs on stream.
THIS IS THE BEST SET IN YEARS! | Bloomburrow MTG Collector Box Haul
Content creator PaymoneyWubby cracked open a box of MTG Bloomburrow Collector booster packs this past weekend, scoring over $1,000 worth of collectible cards, including a borderless embossed foil anime Ms. Bumbleflower. Many collectors and players have jumped on the BLB hype bandwagon based on the set’s adorable animals and playability. Of the 10 main types of animal creatures, frogs are PaymoneyWubby’s favorite, ranking them as “S-tier for cuteness.” The set is also chock-full of money-making cards, from reprints to different treatments like Planeswalkers reimagined as animals.
Heading into the crack pack marathon, PaymoneyWubby had his sights set on one of the 20 anime cards. Out of six Collector booster boxes (one case), he pulled the Commander Ms. Bumbleflower, worth about $160 at the time of writing. And his excitement about pulling the high-end collectible was infectious (timestamp at 44:43).
PaymoneyWubby has a point when they call the MTG Bloomburrow set the “best set in years.” And it’s not just about cuteness or money cards. While PaymoneyWubby was crunching Collector booster packs this weekend, plenty of casual and even first-time players were filling up local game stores to play Bloomburrow Prerelease events. Yes, the art of the set is mesmerizing, but the gameplay is top-notch, especially within the Limited Draft and Sealed formats.
