This article describes the few formats that use the PDD file extension. We will discuss how to open each type, as well as how to convert a PhotoDeluxe image to JPG or another similar format.

A file with the PDD file extension is most likely an image file created with Adobe PhotoDeluxe. This format is similar to Adobe's PSD format in that they can both store images, lines, text, and layers.

PhotoDeluxe was discontinued in 2002 and replaced by Photoshop Elements. However, as you will see below, Photoshop Elements is not the only program that can open and edit the file.

If your PDD file is not an image, it is likely a data file that stores patient information from a Medtronic Chronicle Implantable Hemodynamic Monitor. Other file formats also use this file extension, which I have described below.
