There are a lot of new and improved battle mechanics that will take some time to get used to in Persona 3 Reload. However, the latest remake also brings back certain elements from the previous version, as well as a few specific features from other Persona games. And one of those features is Shift in Persona 3 Reload, which will be essential for getting the most out of all of your characters’ abilities in battle.
Persona 3 Reload Advanced Tips the Game Doesn't Teach You
The newly added battle mechanic works similarly to the Baton Pass feature from Persona 5. However, some things are a little different from the original mechanic and there are a lot of things that players will need to keep in mind this time around. In this guide, we’ll explain all about Shift and how to unlock and use it during battles in the game.
As mentioned above, Shift in Persona 3 Reload works similarly to the Baton Pass feature in Persona 5 for most aspects. Once you exploit your enemy’s weaknesses and land a critical hit in the game, you’ll be granted an extra turn. And with Shift present, you can switch to another character, passing your turn over to them.
The big difference between these two features is that Shift only allows you to transfer your turn, unlike Baton Pass, which would grant a power boost to the next character. It's also worth noting that there are certain circumstances in which you won't be able to use Shift in Person 3 Reload.
