As someone who had never played any of the games in the Persona series, I was hesitant to start, as I didn’t think Persona 5 Royal would be a great place to start. However, after some initial nerves, Persona 5 Royal won me over within 10 minutes of starting the title.
Persona 5 Royal Review
At first glance, Persona 5 and its subsequent expansion, Persona 5 Royal, seem like nonsense. It starts with the worst possible ending for your character: you are wrongly convicted and sent to a different high school in Tokyo, along with other students who share a criminal past. This is where the game’s story begins, and it only becomes clear once you delve a little deeper.
As you progress through the game, you’ll find that you’re not the only one with a conspiracy attached to you; every character you meet has something to offer. Persona 5 Royale seems like a perfect marriage of two games that deliver a great story at the same time.
In the real world, you're a high school student who has to build relationships and redeem yourself by completing tasks like excelling in school, getting a job, and all the other teenage things you can think of.
