Personalize your playlists with custom playlist artwork in Apple Music
In this post, we'll walk you through how to add your own artwork to your Apple Music playlists, using images from your device or photo library.
In previous versions of iOS, you could only use a basic album artwork tile or upload your own image to customize your playlist. But in iOS 17, there are eight new artwork styles for playlists, adding variety with shapes and gradients. The playlist title appears in the top left, and the artwork colors are based on the album art of the first song.
If you don't select a custom style, the default will be a tile of the album art from the first four songs. However, you can always choose a personal image from your Photos or the Files app.
