It seems like ages ago that Phasmophobia was first announced for consoles. While fans were eager to play this horror game, its release date was never revealed – until now! The date is so obvious that it could have been revealed much sooner.
Phasmo Console Release Date, Price & Cross Play Announcement | Phasmophobia
According to the developers' Steam post, Phasmophobia is coming to consoles this year during an in-game Halloween event. While the exact date of the event isn't mentioned, it's safe to say that you'll be able to play Phasmophobia on your console on October 31, 2024 for the price of $19.99. The price is increasing due to the "amount of added content and playtime," according to the developers.
Knowing how long the wait was, the Phasmophobia team expressed their gratitude to the community for their patience following the delay in last year's estimated release date. They explained that the delay was necessary to give them more time to finalize everything planned for the Phasmophobia console release.
While we know when the game will be released on PlayStation and Xbox, the developers are still working on updates. One thing that still has to wait is the ability to use speech recognition. Until speech support is implemented, you will have to use text input for speech recognition. When Phasmophobia releases on consoles, all platforms will be running the current major version, 0.10. As for new content, such as the farm reworks, that will be released a bit later.
