The Windows taskbar is a handy place to have shortcuts, since it’s always visible when you’re using Windows. You can also pin favorite websites and even files (though pinning files takes a little more effort). Here, we’ll describe how to do each of these in Windows 10.
Do you use Chrome every time you turn on your computer? What about Skype or Excel? You can pin the programs you use most often, so you can easily launch them whenever you want. There are two ways to pin, from the open program or from a shortcut on the desktop.
The first method is to pin from a running program. First, start the program as you normally would.
At the bottom of your screen, the program icon will appear on the taskbar. Right-click on it and select Pin to taskbar from the menu.
