The article explains how to play games in windowed mode, so that they don't take up the entire screen. The instructions are for Windows 10 and later.
How to make a game start in WindowMode
Some games explicitly allow the application to run in windowed mode. Go to the Settings menu and you will see options in different languages. If you don't see the options below, you may be able to access them through the game's launcher.
The Windows operating system supports command line switches to modify certain program startup parameters. One way to "force" an application such as your favorite game to run in windowed mode is to create a special shortcut to the program's main executable file and then configure that shortcut with the appropriate command line switch.
Right-click or tap and hold the shortcut for the computer game you want to play in windowed mode.
