User HyphenPhoenix recently posted an XDefiant clip on Reddit where they can be seen unable to get back into cover during a firefight because their character was blocked by one of their teammates. This cost them their life and gave them a good reason to rage quit the match. Due to friendly collision in XDefiant, you cannot phase through your teammates, so you will be blocked if they get in your way.
The shared video is a perfect example of when this mechanic becomes extremely frustrating. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself in a tight space or doorway fighting and you crash into your teammate as you fall back to safety. This can give the enemy enough time to take you and your teammate out.
Another user noted in the comments that using the Phantom faction's Blitz Shield does nothing to stop an enemy from running through you. The purpose of the Blitz Shield is to provide you with cover in close quarters combat, but the lack of collisions with enemy players makes it less effective, as an opponent who knows about this exploit can simply run through you and shoot you in the back.
