On June 8, day two of NAIC, a female Pokémon TCG player alleged that she was verbally abused by another player, Andrea Zorat, after their match ended in a draw. According to the post, Zorat ranted at the player in front of a judge and audience, accusing her of "doing everything possible to force a draw" and "playing slowly." She stated that she had never tried to force a draw and that the judge "didn't see a problem with [her] pace of play." Zorat also allegedly made an insulting comment: "You get what you deserve, loser."

This is completely unacceptable. Why do idiots like @andrea_zorat think this is even remotely acceptable? Harassing a female player or any player during a card game is disgusting. I hope this is addressed quickly with an immediate ban from the league. Disgusting pic.twitter.com/sRcxapPP6p

While the player in question praised a judge for handling the situation well and comforting her, Zorat's behavior was ultimately excused as "he's Italian" with an "aggressive accent," resulting in no punishment other than being watched by security for the rest of the tournament. The victim believes Zorat should have received more punishment. "Getting off after that disgraceful meltdown is insane."
