With the Adventure Week 2024 event coming to Pokémon Go, there are several activities you can work on while playing the mobile game. One of these activities is the Ancient Discoveries Collection Challenge, which requires you to obtain certain Pokémon in the wild.
Rewards for the Ancient Discoveries Collection Challenge #pokemongo
The Pokémon featured in this Collection Challenge should also be featured in the event, making them easier to find. They should still be challenging, however, and you'll need to meet requirements when evolving these Pokémon in order for them to count. Once you get them all, you'll receive various rewards for your efforts in Pokémon Go, but you'll want to complete it before Adventure Week 2024 ends on August 12.
You only need to catch three Pokémon for the Ancient Discoveries Collection Challenge, but there are two that you need to evolve. These are the two original fossil Pokémon that appeared in the series' Kanto region, Kabuto and Omanyte. You'll need to reach their final forms in Pokémon Go, Kabutops and Omastar, which shouldn't be too much of a hurdle for many players. Kabuto and Omanyte came to Pokémon Go just before the mobile game first launched, making it much easier to have enough candy saved up to evolve them.
These are the Pokémon you'll need to catch to complete the Ancient Discoveries Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go during the Adventure Week 2024 event. Some of them can be spotted in the Adventure Week 2024 Timed Research quest.
