Due to a technical issue during Pokémon Go's Mega Rayquazza Elite Raid event in June, Niantic has scheduled a catch-up event to give Trainers another chance to find and catch the Legendary Hoenn Pokémon.
Mega Rayquaza gets a new chance: Triple Raid Hour Makeup Event!
Unlike the previous event, you don't have to participate in local-only Elite Raids. Instead, anyone can take on Mega Rayquaza anywhere in the world using Remote Raid Passes.
With so much to look forward to, it’s worth keeping an eye out for when and how you can take on this legendary Pokémon. And if you’re lucky, you might even get your hands on a Shiny version.
The Pokémon Go Mega Rayquaza catch-up event begins on August 3. The Pokémon can spawn three times per day, at 11am, 1pm, and 6pm local time. The raid will last for less than 30 minutes before disappearing.
