Pokémon Go's Shared Skies season has begun, and more events are on the way. To close out the month, players can look forward to their first encounter with Shiny Larvesta when hatching eggs during the Scorching Steps event.

Shiny Larvesta Hatched! Over 150 Event Eggs Hatched! (Pokémon GO Scorching Steps)

While the method for catching Larvesta remains the same, namely that it only appears in eggs, the requirements for the egg hatching distance are being halved during this event. The requirements for the first three eggs that players hatch at the start of the Scorching Steps event are being reduced to a quarter, making these the best chances to hatch 10 or 12 kilometer eggs. For those focused on Larvesta and Charcadet, which are making another appearance, prioritizing 10 kilometer eggs might be the best idea in Pokémon Go.

Scorching Steps begins on June 21st at 10:00 AM local time and ends on June 25th at 8:00 PM local time. This period gives you a whole weekend to try to hatch as many eggs as possible with the lowered egg hatching requirements and plenty of rewards. There is also a good chance that players will hatch a Shiny Larvesta, and this Pokémon form should be available in Pokémon Go in the future, but with lowered chances.

In addition to Larvesta and Charcadet appearing in this event, Pokémon Go players can also look forward to Turtonator, Litwick, Litleo, Darumaka, Hisuian Growlithe, Magby, Houndour, and Slugma. Unfortunately for Trainers, Charcadet and Larvesta only have a chance to appear inside these Eggs; they will not appear as Field Research rewards or wild encounters. A Timed Research will be featured for the Scorching Steps event, but Niantic has not yet shared whether or not it will be a paid event.
