Razer has unveiled a new version (called an “upgrade”) of its popular BlackShark eSports gaming headset, called the BlackShark V2 Pro.
NEW Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 Headset – What’s New?
From mice to laptops, Razer maintains a fairly consistent release schedule across a variety of gaming hardware. Its latest offering, the BlackShark V2 Pro wireless gaming headset, continues that trend by making an iteration of its predecessor, the BlackShark V2 Special Edition.
Since this is a headset, the sound is clearly what Razer wanted to improve most significantly. The V2 Pro uses a detachable, unidirectional Super Wideband microphone for “professional-grade voice quality,” with a frequency response (i.e. reproducible soundstage) between 100Hz and 10kHz.
Audio output also gets a lot of attention, with Razer’s 50mm audio drivers delivering powerful sound and a 2.4GHz wireless connection for faster response times. The ear cushions are made from noise-isolating memory foam for both comfort and silence, and THX Spatial audio is supported to provide virtual surround sound.
