The Red Obelisk Cave in ARK: Survival Evolved was a major hotspot for resources during a playthrough of Scorched Earth. While it's present in its return in ARK: Scorched Earth Ascended, it's not the powerhouse it once was.
Scorched Earth Artifact Location Guide
In the prequel, the main Red Obelisk Cave was, as the title suggests, near the giant obelisk with a large beam radiating from the center. In ARK: Scorched Earth Ascended, this is still the case, though the cave has certainly seen better days. The exact coordinates for the Red Obelisk Cave are (72.7, 35.3), with the cave itself being a short walk from the giant obelisk. The entrance looks like a ruined arch.
Unfortunately, the cave has been greatly reduced in size, if not weakened altogether, to the point that it is barely a cave at all. Instead, if you go to those coordinates and enter the cave, you will find nothing more than a tunnel leading to the western portion of the Scorched Earth map. It is not very long, and much of the roof of the tunnel is missing, hence why "barely a cave" is an accurate description.
