Dragon Age's social media channels recently announced that the upcoming Veilguard release will be Steam native, meaning you won't need to log into an EA account to play the game if you purchase it on Steam. This also means one big bonus thing: it will also be playable on Steam Deck for all you portable gamers!

Most EA-published games on Steam, such as Apex Legends, require you to log in to an EA account even if you only play on Steam, while many games in EA’s library force you to sign in to other services in one way or another. The announcement that this won’t be happening in the new Dragon Age will undoubtedly send shockwaves through PC gamers who loathe the idea of having to log in to multiple accounts if they never plan on touching EA’s own storefront.
