This article shows you how to remove attachments and save them to a folder to make your Outlook email experience cleaner and faster. Instructions apply to Outlook 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, and 2007; and Outlook for Microsoft 365.
Delete Outlook attachments
Before you remove attachments from an email message, save any important attached files to your computer, OneDrive, or another cloud storage service.
Select the email with the attachments you want to save. The message will appear in the Preview pane.
In Outlook 2019, 2016, and 2013, select the Attachments drop-down arrow and choose Save All Attachments.
