There’s nothing like opening the Access Info menu in The First Descendant, finding the resource you need, and seeing it’s only available in a mundane, repetitive early-game mission. Finding this tedious, some players are begging Nexon to make the grind “harder” but more rewarding.

One player started a discussion about The First Descendant's repetitive grinding pattern in a Reddit post on July 29. "Doing normal content at level 40 is boring," the player said, but since the resources they're chasing come from the normal mission, they suggest that Nexon significantly increase the drop rates for completing a harder version of the mission.
“Higher risk, higher reward is always good,” said another player, while others agreed, saying that there was nothing wrong with the level of grinding that The First Descendant offered, as long as it was fun. “The grind in this game is too boring, too easy, and has to be done too often. Something needs to change.”
One comparison many drew was, once again, to looter shooter Destiny 2 and its Nightfall system. Destiny players play Nightfalls for the unique Vanguard weapon offered each week, but increasing the difficulty of the Nightfall meant a higher chance of obtaining the weapon, as well as key crafting materials. Higher difficulty content also encourages more effort into crafting builds, something the post’s author struggled to see the reason for. “Right now I’m only doing builds for Intercepts and that’s it, it doesn’t matter what else I do, I just melt shit.”
