This article explains how to restore your Mozilla Thunderbird profile using a backup profile. Thunderbird stores all of your data, including messages, contacts, and configuration settings, in the backup profile file.

You may never need to restore it, but it's a good idea to create a backup profile every now and then, just in case. If you want to restore your Mozilla Thunderbird data from a backup copy, the process is simple.

Before you can replace it with a backup profile, you need to find the existing profile on your Windows or Mac computer. To find it:
