Some video doorbells don’t seem to give you the full picture. If a visitor is close, you can see their head and torso, but not much more. But now Ring has a new camera that gives you a head-to-toe view.

The company announced the new Battery Doorbell in a press release sent to Lifewire . The camera is Ring’s next-generation video doorbell, and it features a great field of view (66 percent higher, or a 150-degree by 150-degree view, according to the company) as well as a new mounting design.
In addition to the field-of-view changes, the new Battery Doorbell has a new mounting design. Ring calls it a “push-pin mount.” You’ll still need to install the wall mount with screws, but to detach the main body of the camera for charging or replacing batteries, you simply use a push pin like the one you’d use to open a SIM card tray to release it from the holder. It’s a design that the Arlo Video Doorbell camera already uses, and I found it super convenient for charging batteries on that device.
The new Doorbell Camera also has all the features you'd expect from a Ring Doorbell camera, including motion zones, real-time notifications, and Live View.
