Riot Games released a teaser for Teamfight Tactics tarot cards on August 7, which caused much excitement and confusion among many fans.
Riot Games added me to TFT (with my first set 12 game)
As TFT continues to grow, so does the merchandise available to fans. The Riot store is stocked with plushies, from the classic Poggles and Choncc Plush to the Power Chord Ao Shin. There’s even a shirt and hat commemorating five years since the autobattler launched. Tarot cards for TFT weren’t on my bingo card, though, as I’m used to seeing such merchandise for games like MTG. But Riot surprised everyone today with a teaser of Set 12 tarot card champions via X (formerly Twitter). The new cards will only be available in the Americas region, however, according to Riot.
Many fans are confused as to why the TFT Set 12 cards are limited to the Americas region. Others don’t care if the cards are available in a certain region, or what the purpose of a Teamfight Tactics tarot deck is as long as the cards are collectible and fit on the shelves.
“Imagine this: a memorable collectible set of cards representing all the champions from a particular set, and the cards are foiled, textured, and look amazing,” said one X user.
