League of Legends' Arena returned with Patch 14.9, and Riot Games will be rolling out major balancing changes in the next update, 14.10.
This involvement is just too good 💯
According to lead gameplay designer Matt "Riot Phroxzon" Leung-Harrison's post on X (formerly known as Twitter) on May 7, Patch 14.10 will make Prismatic Anvils more "player-favorable, but not too much so", lowering Jhin's rocket speed, adjusting the MMR system, and increasing the time between revives. Additionally, Patch 14.10 will introduce a slew of balancing changes to champions, augments, and items to keep the meta from becoming boring.
While Riot called Phroxzon better augment adjustments a small change, I think this will have a substantial impact on gameplay. It will make specific items and augments drop more often when you meet certain criteria. Essentially, you will have more control over your builds and not be as reliant on RNG as before.
Riot is also experimenting with blast cone changes on the Koi Pond map, but nothing is set in stone yet. Koi Pond should remain in more or less the same state while Arena is active (this time around).
