After her win rate dropped drastically, League of Legends' newest champion Aurora has received a boost in a micropatch.
Aurora will be my new permaban in League of Legends
Just a few days ago, Aurora was dominating Summoner’s Rift, with players even complaining about the champion’s strength. But now, her win rate has plummeted to under 50 percent, according to League of Graphs.
Aurora’s win rate sits at 46 percent at the time of writing, down six percent from just under a week ago when she dominated the Rift. Just a few days ago, Riot rolled out a micropatch nerf to the between-worlds witch, lowering her base stats and damage while increasing the cooldown of Twofold Hex (Q). These changes, intended to reduce her top lane dominance, had a more drastic effect than intended.
Blake “Squad5” Smith, lead champion designer for League of Legends, explained the current situation with Aurora on X, formerly Twitter. Squad5 said that Riot is introducing a new micropatch to “get her where we wanted her,” and apologized to fans for the “whiplash.”
