Riot Games has designed a limited-time PvE game mode for Teamfight Tactics called Tocker's Trials. The mode is coming to PBE servers today.
TYLER1: DID RIOT JUST FIX MATCHMAKING??
After five years, the TFT team has designed a PvE game mode for players looking for an alternative way to play. Tocker’s Trials will be released on the PBE servers on August 13th, and is scheduled to go live with Patch 14.17 on August 27th. The game mode is temporary and will only run until September 24th, but that doesn’t mean it won’t return in the future. Many in the community are excited about the potential that Tocker’s Trials has, especially from an educational standpoint. And others are ready to embrace a Chaos mode option.
The core gameplay of TFT Set 12 remains the same in Tocker's Trials, minus Charms. Life totals are slightly different and there are no timers, which is why content creators like Frodan feel the limited-time mode has "a lot of potential for fun and for teaching people." Here's what to expect from Tocker's Trials, according to Riot.
Improving the game and learning more about TFT is great for many, but others are more interested in the Mayhem portion of Magic n' Mayhem, which is why Tocker's Trials also has a Chaos mode. Riot hasn't released any details on the Chaos mode, but players will be able to test it out soon via the PBE servers.
