VCS players from eight different pro teams have been banned from Riot-sanctioned events, with eight permanent bans, six three-year bans, and a handful of players receiving one- to two-year suspensions, Riot confirmed today. However, a handful of players had their suspensions lifted, allowing them to participate in League’s upcoming Summer Split in 2024.

While there has been no official confirmation on the exact reasons for the bans, the VCS has stated that it "will not tolerate any action that undermines competitive integrity." This could mean anything, but ultimately the actions of some of the players involved were serious enough that they were banned for life.
