Roberto Orci, a screenwriter for the Star Trek and Transformers franchises, was accused in a lawsuit Monday of repeatedly beating and sexually abusing his wife.

Adele Heather Taylor, an actress in "The Blacklist," "Hail, Caesar!" and more, alleges in the lawsuit that Orci was bipolar, an alcoholic and would fly into violent rages. She alleges he would call her a "slut" and a "whore" and drag her around the house and beat her, causing bruises all over her body.

In May 2022, she alleges Orci chased her into the garden, pushed her to the ground and threatened her with rape. The following month, she alleges he sexually assaulted her in the garden, telling her, "You like being raped."

She also alleges that Orci called police on her in April 2020 after she tried to fight him off, and she was arrested for domestic violence. He posted her bail, the complaint says.
