Less than a year after Rogue's "return" to European League of Legends in the LEC, the organization is reportedly on its way out after a brutal 2024 season that saw the team never make it to a single split playoff appearance.

The rumor of Rogue's departure from the LEC comes after the team finished last in the LEC Summer Split, according to a July 12 report from Sheep Esports. Sources close to Sheep Esports indicated that Rogue's parent company Infinite Reality was considering selling its LEC spot and that while their departure has yet to be confirmed, "multiple parties" have reportedly entered discussions as replacements for the league.
Rogue made a legendary return to League after a hiatus until 2023, where the team was rebranded as KOI following the announcement of Infinite Reality’s partnership with the Spanish organization. After the pair parted ways at the end of 2023, Infinite Reality brought back the Rogue brand, but failed to recapture the League success of old.
It’s hard to believe that it’s only been two years since Rogue stormed home to a historic victory over G2 at the LEC 2022 Summer Championship, as well as a quarterfinal finish at Worlds that year. Rogue has three top LEC regular season finishes over the course of its history.
