The aptly titled Roku Streaming Stick 4K and Roku Streaming Stick 4K+ offer 4K streaming, of course, along with other general improvements. According to Roku's announcement, both models will be available in the U.S. via the company's website and other online retailers in mid-October. Curiously, it appears that only the Roku 4K will appear in brick-and-mortar stores, with no mention of the 4K+ model getting the same treatment.
The Roku Streaming Stick 4K appears to be an upgrade over previous models, with a faster boot-up time and a redesigned Wi-Fi receiver for better speeds. It also offers Dolby Vision and HDR10+. And of course, there are the usual Roku perks of easy setup and compatibility with various Apple and Google devices.
The only difference between the 4K and 4K+ models appears to be the addition of a Roku Voice Remote Pro, which comes with the 4K+. For just $20 more, you can get a fancier rechargeable remote with hands-free voice control, a headphone jack, and personalized shortcut keys.
