Safe Mode is a diagnostic startup mode in Windows operating systems that is used to provide limited access to Windows when the operating system cannot boot normally.
Normal mode is the opposite of safe mode, as it boots Windows as usual.
Safe Mode is available in Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and most older versions of Windows.
In Safe Mode, the desktop background is replaced with a solid black color with the words Safe Mode in all four corners. The current Windows build and service pack level are also displayed at the top of the screen.
