The wait is finally over! Samsung made the new Galaxy S24 smartphone line official during the Samsung Unpacked 2024 event.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra review: Why buy anything else?
Samsung’s new Galaxy S24 lineup includes the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, as you might expect. The surprises come in some of the phones’ capabilities.
First up, let’s talk about the S24 Ultra, since it’s the top-of-the-line model. This thing is a 6.8-inch QHD+ beast with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and five (yes, I said five!) cameras. Those five cameras include a 12MP ultra-wide, 200MP wide, 50MP telephoto, 10MP telephoto, and a 12MP front-facing camera.
The S24 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, has 12GB of storage with storage options that go up to 1TB, and a 5,000mAh battery that can charge up to 65 percent in about 30 minutes when using the included 45W charging adapter (sold separately, of course). It also runs the latest Android 14 and One UI 6.1 interface with 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, and Wi-Fi Direct Bluetooth v 5.3 capabilities.
