With the launch of the Galaxy S20 Ultra last spring, Samsung embraced a new, higher tier of smartphone extravagance and lavishness, delivering a massive, feature-packed phone with a price tag to match. Now, brought to the Note line, which typically offers Samsung’s most expensive non-folding smartphone hardware, we have the even more premium Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G.

It’s a beast, with one of the largest displays around, complete with cutting-edge hardware, and we haven’t even gotten to the titular 5G support yet. Granted, it’s also more phone than most people could ever need, with a $1,300 starting price putting it out of reach for the average consumer. There are a few drawbacks to the mix, but for the Android user who wants the best of the best and can handle a oversized phone, there’s plenty to like here too.

Smartphones have gotten progressively larger over the years, but with a whopping 6.8-inch display, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G genuinely tries to outdo small tablets. The curved sides of the display help to trivialize that idea a little, but this is still a seriously large phone, measuring nearly 6.5 inches tall and just over three inches wide.
