Samsung Galaxy S10 Review – 3 Weeks Later
Last year’s Samsung Galaxy S9 was a great phone. But with a design that was carried over from the Galaxy S8, and at a time when other smartphone makers were pushing the envelope, it just lacked a certain spark compared to much of the premium smartphone competition. The Samsung Galaxy S10, released in early 2019, managed to reignite that spark.
Featuring a new hole-punch design that allows Samsung to cover nearly the entire surface area of the phone in a gorgeous Dynamic OLED display, the Galaxy S10 amazes in a way that few other phones can match. And in typical Samsung flagship style, it’s packed with power and cutting-edge tech, though it does come with a significant price hike over last year’s model.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is a striking, beautiful smartphone. It’s the first major device to use what’s called a “hole-punch display,” meaning the screen has a small hole in it to accommodate the front-facing selfie camera. This is unlike the larger camera “notch” found at the top of the screen on the Apple iPhone XS and many Android smartphones.
