Samsung has announced three new laptops to meet the needs of those of us stuck at home. This new Galaxy Book line includes the Flex, Flex Alpha, and Ion, each positioned at a unique price and feature point.
Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra: RIP MacBook Pro?
The specs: All Galaxy Books have a QLED display with 600 nits of brightness, geared toward working outdoors, and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. They also all have a hinge that allows you to transform from a laptop to a tablet.
Galaxy Book Flex: This is the more expensive convertible Flex, with a 10th-gen Intel Core i7, wireless PowerShare, a 19- or 20-hour battery, and an S Pen. It has Wi-Fi 6, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and one USB-C, and comes in both 15- and 13-inch models. It starts at $899 for the 13.3-inch model, with the larger-screen model costing $50 more, starting at $949.
Galaxy Book Flex Alpha: The Alpha comes in both i5 and i7 variants, dressed in a Royal Silver finish. It has a smaller battery than its bigger sibling, which Samsung says is still good for 18.5 hours of use. This Galaxy Book also doesn’t have PowerShare. This laptop starts at $399 for 8GB of RAM, with 12GB available for $50 more.
