According to the monthly Samsung Security Maintenance Release (SMR) report, the South Korean tech giant has started rolling out the November security update to a number of devices worldwide.
This recent security update is quite large, coming in at 225MB, and addresses a number of persistent issues, patching over a dozen “common” vulnerabilities, three “critical” vulnerabilities, and a whopping 20 “high risk” vulnerabilities. Some of these fixes were instituted by Google in support of its Android operating system, while others were pushed out by Samsung in support of its robust One UI interface.
Few details are available about which security vulnerabilities were fixed by the patch, but the company stated that these fixes were made "to improve our customers' confidence in the security of Samsung Mobile devices."
