Samsung plans to demonstrate its new wearable technology with the next version of Wear OS on June 28 at Mobile World Congress.
Samsung Galaxy New Wear OS Event in 4 Minutes – MWC 2021
The company revealed plans to show off some of its latest developments on Monday. One of the biggest focuses will be Wear OS, the latest version of Google's Android Watch operating system, which recently partnered with Tyzen to create an entirely new experience. Engadget reports that Samsung also plans to show off some of the big security improvements coming to the Galaxy ecosystem.
It’s unclear whether this event will actually yield any new devices, as this isn’t one of Samsung’s usual Galaxy Unpacked keynotes. Instead, it’s more likely that the showcase will focus purely on Wear OS and other operating system improvements being rolled out across Samsung’s mobile ecosystem.
Still, for those who use Samsung wearables like the Galaxy smartwatches, it's worth getting an early look at what Wear OS will look like on those devices, since it will be the default operating system for those watches going forward.
